‘It all happened so quickly’: How one man adjusts to new life after surviving a police shooting

Ethan Fuller, a former Arizona resident, looks back on a Phoenix police shooting that left him with life-changing injuries two years prior. He was unarmed and experiencing psychosis. It wasn’t until the Howard Center for Investigative Journalism contacted Fuller that he learned the officer’s actions in his case were deemed out of policy by the Phoenix Police Department. The officer involved in the shooting is appealing that ruling through internal channels.
